Copyright Policy
Our commitment to protecting intellectual property rights and handling copyright infringement claims.
1 Intellectual Property Rights
Stunotes respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. You may only upload content (notes, papers, materials) that you have created yourself or that you have the explicit right and permission to share.
When you upload content, you retain your ownership rights, but you grant Stunotes a license to host, display, and distribute that content to other users on the platform.
2 Prohibited Content
Users are strictly prohibited from uploading:
- Copyrighted textbooks, published books, or commercial study guides.
- Materials created by professors or instructors (e.g., lecture slides) unless explicit permission is granted.
- Any content that infringes on the trademark, patent, or intellectual property rights of a third party.
3 Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on Stunotes in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a formal takedown request containing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and a specific URL linking to the material.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party (address, telephone number, and email).
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
4 Repeat Infringers
It is Stunotes' policy to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances.
